In the year of 2024, I read 124 books (how fitting!). I started the year with Under the Influence by Noelle Crooks and ended the year with The Country Will Bring Us No Peace by Matthieu Simard. And I read so many amazing books in between!
Thanks to The Storygraph, I know that this year I:
read 37,124 pages
gave 28 books 5 stars
tended towards fiction (85% of the time)
enjoyed literary fiction and contemporary fiction
read books in 2-3 days
Also, I sent out 29 issues of this newsletter :)
Here’s what you’ve really been waiting for, the top 10 I read this year (in the order I read them):
Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano
Annie Bot by Sierra Greer
Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn
The Skunks by Fiona Warnick
The Husbands by Holly Gramazio
Honey by Isabel Banta
Fruit of the Dead by Rachel Lyon
Hum by Helen Phillips
Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors

Some honorable mentions: Worry by Alexandra Tanner, Green Dot by Madelaine Gray, We Were the Universe by Kimberly King Parsons, Everything You Ever Wanted by Luiza Sauma, All Fours by Miranda July, Sandwich by Catherine Newman,Tennis Lessons by Susannah Dickey, Brat by Gabriel Smith, and No One Is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood.
I was so lucky to share so many of these books here with you and also on Instagram!
In 2025, I am excited to tackle my huge TBR, check out new authors, and hopefully open my own bookstore. I hope it’s one of my best book years yet!
What were some of your faves you read this year? I would love to know! In the meantime, Happy 2025! I hope it brings you love, happiness, and good reads :)

Happy New Year!!! Welcoming another year of you recommending all of my books.
Worry and Green Dot were also 5-stars for me! But didn't break my top ten, so hard to decide. I'm so glad I ended my reading year with your recommendation of Hum, it made my top 10 too.
